| Writing is key and it changed my life. I was agoraphobic and depressed ten years ago when I bought this book now I'm living the life that I want. Did it take ten years to overcome? No! It took a commitment to write for a couple of months one summer. Those two months and techniques have carried me through the last ten years and will continue to do so the rest of my life with no medication. Good luck - I highly recommend the book. |

Helps me feel good |
As a psychologist I have referred this book to people facing all kinds of challenges in life, from the everyday stressors we all encounter to bouts of severe depression. The amazing thing about Feeling Good is that it's an empowering book that teaches us to take control of how we experience emotions and react to events.
And while this is something I'm not able to discuss in therapy, I've read the book many times myself and find it helpful and a great way to check my own thinking when things get stressful. Another book I recommend you take a look at is new, "The Emotional Intelligence Quick Book." This one is even more directly focused on emotions and comes with a code you can use to go online and find out your own EQ score.

Good book |
| This book was very helpful to me. Not all self help books are created equal. This one should be required reading for anyone who has ever been depressed. |
